Analgesic with a spicy scent
Eugenol is a yellow viscous liquid with the same warm spicy aroma as clove and it’s beloved for its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.
Description
Eugenol occurs naturally in cinnamon and bay essential oils among others: for example it makes up 85% of clove oil, so it can be found in several of our products.
Due to its antiseptic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, it’s a good local anaesthetic for temporary relief from toothache pain and it’s ideal for soothing the entire mouth and freshen breath.
In some products we use eugenol as fragrant constituent of essential oils for its characteristic warm, spicy and intriguing notes of cinnamon and clove perfumes.
