They see me foaming
Derived from the fatty acids of coconut oil, cocamidopropyl betaine is a very mild and versatile compound. As a surfactant it gently washes skin and hair and creates a luxurious foam. It's also a good thickener and emulsifier, helping products to keep things together and is commonly considered a hair and skin conditioner too.
Testing, one, two... is it working? Right.
Hi, my name is Lauryl Betaine, I'm here to tell you about my potential departure from the company. If you want to know more about me you can read my full interview here. For decades I've been living the dream in Lush products... foaming, cleansing... everybody enjoyed my work but then they discovered... I was palm-derived.
*Audience is in shock*
The first time they introduced me to Cocamidopropyl Betaine I felt betrayed. I tried to make myself indispensable, I lathered for my life! But let's face it, Cocamid' is damn good. I tried to spread rumours about him being contaminated by pollutants but he's been checked regularly and he's as pure as they come. I reckon he's very gentle, he works hard and reminds me of coconut trees and holidays. Not a trace of palm in him... I can't compete.
*Teardrops in the audience*
But don't worry about me guys, Cocamid' and I became friends, betaine buddies forever. I'll continue to teach him everything I know until it's time for retirement. I've worked hard, I deserve a break, don't I?
*Applause and nods*
